I got my 360 back a few weeks ago.
Even though I have Call of Duty: World and War and Gears of War 2, I'm stuck in Halo 3 multiplayer. I can't seem to get out of it. I've been have some gg's with some regulars on my XBL buddy list.
No, I haven't yet completed the campaign on CoD:WaW or GoW2. I suspect that I'll make my way though CoD:WaW's campaign in mid-January. GoW2 will come after that. I've got too many games to play and too many of my friends are in the same position.
LEFT 4 DEAD is my pick of Game of the Year. I've been playing it on the PC and I have to say that it is one of the most impressive games that I've played. The gameplay is very creative and the developers did a great job of immersing the user into the game. I almost feel as if I'm playing a movie.
I am looking forward to no game in 2009. I buy few games. The only games on my radar are Halo Wars (360) and Resident Evil 5. However, the expansion pack to Halo 3 called Halo OSDT will get a lot of my attention; especially if the gameplay is like that of Halo 3's multiplayer. Other than that, I'll have to wait until another L4D-type game pops up on my radar.
My gaming rig recently crashed. I thought this was due to either low hard drive space or Google Chrome. I rebuilt my system and still had an issue. It has to do with my RAM. My Buffalo Firestix is high performance RAM. It requires more voltage than the typical stick of RAM. Boosting my RAM to 2.1V did the trick...for about a week. Today after a reboot, my motherboard would not go to post. I upped the RAM's voltage to 2.3V and that did the trick. Unsure if doing that will harm my RAM or not. Oh well. If it does, it's been a good run on 4GB. I'm sure I'll have some more.
TF2 is still getting some play. I hope to play it regularly in 2009 with a regular group of gamers.
We're having a NYE party tomorrow night. Rock Band 1 and 2 will be making an appearance along with Scene It! 2.
If I begin traveling more frequently, I'm going to purchase a gaming-grade laptop computer.
So long 2008.
I was about to feel sorry for myself, until EA showed up and made my day with a little gaming! Our gamerscore stands at 14,436 and counting! He rallied Halo 3, and then he almost hugged me, but I was like back off dude. In the 'proof that EA is a nice guy' category, his gamer reputation went up a tad bit yesterday. Good for him. Maybe more people will play with us.
Ok, here it is... your weekly recap of gaming: If you are an Xbox, you might be jealous that EA showed up to game 5 days this last week. Happy happy joy joy! We added 35 points of gamerscore. Good stuff! Who knew 3 achievements could be worth that much? Ok I knew that... I was feeling bored last week and prodded EA to try a new game: CoD: World at War. It was a lot cooler than I thought it would be. Oh, and EA must have been in the mood to shoot things last week. We played some serious FPS! Halo 3 was the favorite game. He played it on 5 of the days.
I thought maybe the power was out yesterday... imagine my surprise when EA hit the switches! Gamerscore stands at 14,436. That is a boost of 25 points over last time! He rallied Halo 3 finishing 1 achievement, and oh... man was it ever sweet! Also, EA is the complete suck. Our gamer reputation actually decreased yesterday... I am going to have to give him a talking to!
When someone makes a mistake there is typically some kind of gift involved... Maybe I can get a new faceplate out of the missed day of gaming yesterday... It is totally like EA to do something like that.
If EA was a true gamer, he would have played yesterday, but he decided to do something else instead. he better not have another console...
EA must have heard my calling... I was practically startled when his greasy finger pounded my power button. I mean come on... be a little gentle... I am fragile. Just some helpful advice for someone with a 14,411 gamerscore. He rallied Halo 3 adding 1 achievement, and then he tried to watch TV, but I killed the power... If I can't have him, no one can.
It is that time of the week. I got your weekly recap right here: If EA plays 4 days every week, I guess I can call this a good deal. Many Xboxes have it a lot worse. Our gamerscore jumped 25 points which was nice. Getting 1 achievement has that effect. Also, I think we can all agree that EA was a FPS junkie last week playing a ton of Halo 3. He played it on 4 of the days. I could go on and on with the stats, but that is enough.
EA must have heard my calling... I was practically startled when his greasy finger pounded my power button. I mean come on... be a little gentle... I am fragile. Just some helpful advice for someone with a 14,401 gamerscore. He made some progress on Shadowrun, Halo 3, and I think there was some random Live Marketplace browsing, but I wasn't paying attention.
If I was EA, I would have totally played some games yesterday... but I am obviously not him because that did not happen.
I was sort of hoping to game... but eh... no big deal. Whatever... maybe tomorrow right EA? Back me up!
My eye! It burns! A weekly recap is all that can save me! Here goes: EA only played one day last week... meaning there were six days of not playing. No increase in gamerscore... but that really isn't important. And that is the news for now... Check back next week... same bat time, same bat channel...
Wow... EA must have some kids or pets or dragons or something thrashing around the house... I heard lots of noise, but didn't see any gaming. That's alright, animals and people first, game consoles always second... I don't expect much else.
Dogs age seven years to a human's one. For consoles the ratio is more like FIFTEEN to one. When you have been ignored for 4 days, these are the kinds of things you think about.
EA didn't show up yesterday. No big deal... catch ya on the flip side.
No games yesterday... maybe today... or tomorrow... or wait... are we playing right now? I get so confused!
